Cases of the H1N1 flu are keeping officials on high alert and on Wednesday, local and state health officials held a H1N1 awareness seminar open to the public in Weslaco.
Health experts weighed in on H1N1 influenza and took questions from people who attended. Officials stressed the importance of not assuming you have the virus and advise everyone to take steps before heading to the emergency room.
The state of Texas will be receiving more than 3 million doses of the H1N1 nasal mist that will be released by the first week of October and come in a nasal spray form. If you have other questions about the flu, or would like over the phone medical guidance for you or your family dial 211.
