In celebration of National School Nurse Day, the Brownsville school district nurses attended a luncheon at the historic Brownsville Museum.
Over 50 nurses attended the luncheon and three got the surprise of being recognized for Nurses of the Year. Nurses have an entire week to be recognized, May 6th through the 12th, but Texas Governor, Rick Perry, proclaimed May 7th as National School Nurse Day. It raises awareness of the important role school nurses play within our education system.
