HIDALGO COUNTY, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The chief of staff for Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Treviño says personal reasons is why she resigned from the job.
Patricia Medina had been with the county for 14 years. The resignation came in Monday.
A Sheriff's Office statement said press releases on resignation aren't customary, but media demands made it necessary.
A report by the Monitor today says the Sheriff is considering retiring by the end of the Month.
