HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR DEEP SOUTH TEXAS.

Heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees today and Thursday.

A persistent upper level ridge of high pressure will persist over deep South Texas today and tomorrow. This upper level ridge will maintain very hot temperatures and elevated heat index this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon.

The combination of the high temperatures and relative humidity values will produce heat index values between 105 and 110 degrees across much of deep South Texas and the lower Rio Grande value through tomorrow afternoon.

A few locations may see heat index readings briefly reaching or exceeding 111 degrees.

A blowing dust advisory is in effect for the coastal sections of Cameron County today.
