The Harlingen police department has a new home and the multi-million dollar state of the art facility giving police and those in the community the ability to have high-tech resources at their finger tips.

There's a new building on Fair Park boulevard in Harlingen. The $10 million dollar complex is called the Harlingen Public Safety Complex and houses the municipal court and Harlingen police department.

The $10 million dollars for the upgrades and new facility came from a capital improvement program and the another $1.4 million dollars came from drug seizures. All new computer technology in police units as well as digital recordings systems and all furniture in the building.
