The City of Harlingen will be enlisting the assistance of its residents to provide input into the city's Comprehensive Plan for the future.

The Comprehensive Plan provides guidance for city leaders and staff to manage the city for the next ten years. It addresses and prioritizes needs for infrastructure, quality of life, community vitality, land use, growth, and zoning.

Residents will be able to provide their input through a on-line survey and also a survey will be distributed randomly to households around the city.

Additional, residents can get more information about the planning process at www.myharlingen.org or at www.windmixer.com which highlights a variety of topics to add or respond to ideas posted by other residents.

There will be four key discussion sessions to be held over the next three months on Saturday mornings starting at 8:30 a.m.

For more information on the planning effort and locations please contact the City of Harlingen's Planning Department at 956.216.5101.
