To start the Christmas count down, Harlingen Medical Center sang carols and lit up their 15 foot tree.

Medical personnel and patients gathered in the main lobby to watch and sing along with Christmas favorites like Jingle Bells and We Wish You A Merry Christmas. The lighting of the tree is an important ceremony in the hospital because it promotes hope and happiness to patients and their families. The Fun N Sun Kitchen Kutups play every year for the event. That group is made up of winter Texans and local Valley residents.
