"Tear it down"
"Building is going down."

Students from nearby Zavala Elementary looked on as this abandon home was destroyed by the National Guard. They say this was a drug house and used for other criminal activity.

"Destruction, pandemonium, and totally awesome."
"It was awesome great experience to see something like this happen."

This all part of Operation Crackdown. The Texas National Guard teamed up with the city of Harlingen to knock down these unsafe homes that are an eye sore for the community, something that makes fifth grader Christian Cavazos feel really good.

"I think it means to the people that around this area is going to be safer, they can go to sleep at night and not wonder what's happening in the back of their houses and now it safe."

"As part of Operation Crackdown they will know down 25 home like this in the city of Harlingen."

The majority of the funding for project is paid by seized drug money.

"Assets sharing when there is a drug cash seizure we will ask for proceeds of that and use that drug money to lease the equipment, to buy shovels, rakes t-shirts, so we are using drug money to know down houses."
