Harlingen Family Homeless After House Fire
A family in Harlingen is left with only the clothes on their backs, after a fire on New Year's day burned their home to the ground, Joangel Concepcion has more.
Family members reported that the fire started in the washroom and spread quickly through the house before they had a chance to put out the flames. Priscilla Cantu, the mother of five, says she wasn't home when the fire started but blames an electrical short for the cause. The family are staying with relatives and the American Red Cross came out to the home to assist the family immediately. Fire officials continue to investigate the cause of the fire even though the Cantu family lost everything they feel lucky to be alive even though the family dog is missing.
