Harlingen driver arrested on 8th DWI charge
HARLINGEN, TX (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A Harlingen man has been arrested for the eighth time on a charge of driving while intoxicated.
On Thursday, April 10th at around 5 a.m. a Harlingen police officer conducted a traffic stop on a black Ford Expedition on the 800 block of North 1st Street for failing to come to stop at an intersection.
The driver was identified as Alberto Sanchez, 39, who showed signs of intoxication and refused to complete a field sobriety test. It was revealed that Sanchez had seven previous convictions for DWI which enhanced the current offense to a felony charge and a bond of $20,000.
