Happy Birthday Mr President
President Obama celebrates his 50th birthday.
The President mixed business with pleasure…a burger stop with his staff and a cabinet meeting.
"I'm going to get advice from some around the table on this milestone," said President Obama.
Last night, President Obama held his 50th birthday party featuring a 35-thousand-dollar-a-plate dinner plus a packed concert in Chicago.
"By the time I wake up I'll have an email from AARP asking me to call President Obama and tell him to protect Medicare!" said President Obama.
The birthday boy has a few big projects ahead this year: re-election and turning the economy around.
Abby Phillip of Politico said, "Probably the best gift that Obama could hope for is on Friday the jobs report that's gonna come out."
Fresh off a tense week of barely saving the U.S. from default, President Obama turns 50 facing record low approval numbers, high unemployment and a field of Republicans eager to take his place.
The President tells Russian TV he's got one big birthday wish.
"What I'm hoping for more than anything is that we are able to drive towards a more peaceful world,” said President Obama.
