Ham On The Lam
Loose pig causing big trouble for North Carolina neighborhood.
A wandering pig has been damaging property in a neighborhood in North Carolina's Pitt County area for several days, and neighbors say no one is helping them get rid of the animal.
The pig has destroyed several gardens.
Neighbors say they have woken up to the pig knocking down their trash cans.
Residents have been told police nor animal control can come and capture the pig because the damage is outside city limits and in those cases they can only respond if the animal is aggressive or rabid.
One resident says she now worries her children will get hurt playing outside.
"We also have a 2-year-old that plays outside and I wouldn't want her to think its a dog. It's obviously not and could actually be dangerous," said Jessica Insinga.
Residents have tried to call multiple local farms, however, no one will come get the pig.
