Grief counselors remained on campus at McAllen high school following a deadly accident that killed 16 year-old Marissa Bauman.

Bauman was killed after being hit by a car at the intersection of 21st and Harvey Avenue and police say the driver did stop to help Bauman and is cooperating in the case. Friends and family are still placing candles and stuffed animals at the intersection as a memorial and at school, grief counselors are doing their best to comfort students. Counseling and Guidance Coordinator Glenda McClendon stated, "The best thing to do is for the young people to allow them to talk about their feelings and their friend and good memories they have and help them, we want to guide them through the grieving process."
