Governor Perry appoints McAllen attorney to the state's university system
AUSTIN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Governor Rick Perry has appointed a McAllen attorney and judge to serve on the board that oversee's the state's university system. Ernest Aliseda was on of three individuals appointed by the Governor to the Texas System Board of Regents on Thursday. Mr. Aliseda is the managing attorney of the Loya Insurance Group, municipal judge for the city and ranked as a Major in the U.S.. Army Reserves JAG Corps.
In addition to Mr. Aliseda, Governor Perry selected businessmen Paul Foster, from El Paso, and Jeff Hilderbrand from Houston and all three appointments are subject to Senate confirmation.
