Government to Spend $8.5 Billion for H1N1 Vaccine

The government says a million Americans have contracted the H1N1 flu and health officials are gearing up for an even bigger outbreak this fall.

Clinical trials for the H1N1 flu vaccine start one month from now and the Obama administration expects to spend $8.5 billion dollars to produce a vaccine. The biggest concern is children which will get the vaccine first. The Obama administration will announce $350 million dollars in grants to states and hospitals preparing for a possible fall outbreak.
