Girl Scout Organization Celebrates 100 Years

It's the 100th year anniversary celebration for the Girl Scouts organization which began in 1912 with just eighteen members and now has more than three million.

Here in the Valley, there are more than 14,000 Girl Scouts with each learning to become a strong, smart and independent women. Over the past 100 years the Girl Scouts organization has changed with the times and have become more modern as Danielle Altenburg stated, "The Girl Scouts learn confidence, they learn how to become a leader, they learn how to stand up for what they believe in one really great thing for the 100th anniversary that we are doing is Project Green.
