Gateway to College Helps RGV Dropout Students Get Their Diploma

MCALLEN - The Upper Valley unfortunately has a high dropout rate. This is one of the reasons why STC is starting a new program that will give these young adults a second chance to finish their eductation.

News Center 23 Reporter Erin Murray met with one girl entering the program today. She wasn't a high school dropout, she has just fallen several semesters behind because of an unexpected family health problem. Erin tells us more.

Gateway to College is having an enrollment session Tuesday July 5th at 2pm at South Texas College Tech Campus Auditorium on the corner of Miltiary Hwy and Ware Road.

This program has limited number of enrollments. If you are interested in enrolling this program please be present at this Tuesday July 5th enrollment.

They are currently only enrolling students from Mission and McAllen ISD. This program is for students who are on the verge of dropping out or have already dropped out.
