Clerk, store owner and customer draw guns and open fire when confronted by three armed robbers. Marina Marraco reports.

(WESH) A convenience store clerk and store owner fought back during an armed robbery early Friday morning in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The three robbers were masked and armed, but so was the clerk, who said he fired eight shots as the culprits fled the area.

"With that shotgun in my chest, I thought he was going to fire," said the owner, who did not want to be identified. "He said, 'I will shoot you if you don't get me the money.'"

Both the owner and the employee were legally armed, and as the suspects fled, the employee was first out the door shooting at the suspects. The owner followed.
