A man who spent months on the run is now behind bars.

Gary Powell went in front of Justice of the Peace Bobby Contreras on Wednesday morning on a charges of possession of marijuana. The Hidalgo task force had a warrant out for his arrest since July, but Powell was caught in El Paso.
