WEBB COUNTY- A fugitive on the run for thirteen years, wanted for capital murder has finally been captured.
Jesus Servando Lopez, 32, was wanted on capital murder charges stemming from a homicide in Cameron county back in 1999.
Officials say the incident happened after a drug deal reportedly went bad and Lopez allegedly shot the victim three times then dumped the body close to Brownsville.
The Webb County Sheriff's Department started the investigation after they received a tip that Lopez was hiding in Nuevo Laredo. He was then arrested and extradited back to Laredo in a joint effort with the U.S. Marshals. He's currently being held at the Webb County jail without bond.
