Fourth Suspect Arraigned in Hidalgo County Shooting
HIDALGO COUNTY - A fourth suspect involved in a deadly cartel related shooting face a judge on Monday.
Jose Luis Hernandez is charged with three counts of aggravated kidnapping and two counts of attempted capital murder. Sheriff deputies believe Hernandez was involved in a series of violent incidents last Sunday which landed deputy Hugo Rodriguez in the hospital with three gun shot wounds. At least seven suspects have been charged in the incident and another suspect was shot and killed at the scene. Police are conducting four separate investigations into the shooting and are calling it the first confirmed case of spillover violence in Hidalgo county.
