Four arrested and 767 lbs. of marijuana seized in underground bunker

Four people are behind bars after Starr County investigators discovered more than 700 pounds of marijuana in an underground bunker.

Investigators were conducting a surveillance operation when they noticed something at a house on Ramirez Street in Escobares.

That's where they found a large man made bunker covered in dirt and plywood. Investigators seized 767 pounds of marijuana from inside the bunker.

Three men and a woman are in custody facing possession of marijuana charges.
