San Juan police arrested a former teacher for using a plastic zip tie to restrain one of his former students at Austin Middle School.

Police arrested 25 year-old Jose M. Martinez at his Pharr home and charged him with unlawful restraint. It is reported that Martinez tied a 11 year-old boy up to five minutes after the boy disrupted the class. Martinez bond has been set to $20,000 dollars
