EDINBURG - Several passengers, including a baby, are recovering from life threatening injuries after a truck slammed into the vehicle they were in.

It happened near the Freddy Gonzalez exit on Expressway 281 north around 5 PM on Wednesday. Police say two women, a man and a baby were stuck in the middle of the highway due to car problems. That is when a truck plowed into their car sending all four passengers to the hospital with multiple injuries. The driver of the truck was also sent to the hospital.
