First responders prevent patient from jumping off building
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — A man threatened to jump off of a building, but first responders were able to talk the man down to safety.
In the morning hours of Thursday, May 23, a 24 year-old male climbed the roof of a business on the 4900 block of N. Expressway and threatened to jump.
Prior to the incident he had been at Valley Regional Hospital for a mental evaluation, but was able to walk out of the facility.
First responders arrived to the location of the building and after two hours they were able to talk the man down from the roof.
The man will be re-evaluated for his mental state.
