A house fire in Palmview killed a 3-year old boy today.
Around four thirty this afternoon, flames chased two women out of their home, and fire crews say, those same flames trapped a three year old boy, who was found dead, huddled, underneath a bed.
Fire Crews say, it happened off minnesota boulevard.
Both Hidalgo County Sheriffs and Fire Marshall's have teamed up to investigate.
The Fire Marshall's are trying to figure out, how the blaze began, and if it was accidental or intentional.
Sheriff's Investigators will see if any criminal charges need to filed.
Hidalgo County Sheriff, Lupe Trevino says, the boy's aunt and grandma were inside the home, when the fire started.
These ladies later told investigators, they went back in to try and save the boy.
"Both women are under doctor's care, they'll be eventually interviewed about their actions before and after the fire."
Sheriff Trevino says, the boy's aunt and grandmother's arms and hands were injured in the fire.
An autopsy was ordered to see if the three year old child died from burns or from smoke inhalation.
The Family tells us his name was Rodolfo.
