FEMA to Assist Residents in Cameron County

So far, FEMA has reported that 5.4 million dollars in federal assistance has been awarded to Texas residents devastated by Hurricane Alex.

Starting on Tuesday, round two of assistance will begin here in Cameron county  with mobile disaster recovery centers in Brownsville, Port Isabel and Harlingen. In Brownsville the recovery center will be located at the Centro Cultural off of Gregory aveune through September 3rd. In Port Isabel, the center will be located at the Port Isabel Annex and then move to the Harlingen Annex the week after.

Operating hours will run from 10 AM to 6 PM during the week and on Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM and on Sundays the mobile DRC's will open from 1 PM to 5 PM.
