A motorcyclist is dead, after slamming into a car in Brownsville.
39-year old, Brownsville man, Timeteo Gasca jr. died, after his bike skid into a Dodge Durango, just before nine last night.
Brownsville Police say, it happened on Southmost road, near Isabel Drive, right in front of the Family Dollar store.
The troubles all began, when one vehicle coming out of Isabel drive, merged into traffic.
Police say, that driver, paused in the center lane.
Because that car was blocking the middle lane, a second vehicle, a Dodge Durango, which was pulling out of the Family Dollar couldn't merge into traffic.
The Dodge Durango, then blocked the northbound lane, which the motorcyclist was traveling in.
Police say, the motorcyclist tried to stop, skid, and lost control.
He then flew off his bike and hit the back of the dodge durango, and died.
"Because of someone's negligence or their actions, it directly affected the victim, and caused his death."
Sgt. Manrrique says, the motorcyclist was driving 40mph, and was wearing his helmet.
Both drivers are cited.
The driver of the Dodge vehicle, Blanca Garza is now charged with failure to yield right away, and could face an additional charge of accident involving death.
Brownsville police have turned the case over to the Cameron County District Attorney's office for further investigation.
