A fatal fire in Harlingen over the weekend leaves four dead.

It started around 5:30 a.m. Sunday in a trailer home in Fair Park Estates.

The Fire Marshall said a man, a woman and two children died. One man did escape the fire. He was flown to Brook Army Medical Center. Investigators said he is in stable condition.

Fire officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. They are not ruling arson out yet. They said mobile home fires can be hard to put out.

"Our fire department did an excellent job in their response as well as taking care of the fire. Mobile home fires typically move very, very quickly. They were able to stop it very, very quickly and they did an excellent job," said Danny Warner, Fire Marshall.

A few of the power lines closest to the home were cut, resulting in power outages for several of the other trailers in the area.

Officials are not sure when these home will be regaining power.

Harlingen Police is keeping an officer on scene until the autopsy on the bodies is complete.
