A chase leads La Joya police to a man they have been searching for sometime now for drug possession and evading arrest.

23 Miguel Angel Garcia has been wanted by La Joya police for several months and on Tuesday morning officers were just feet away from placing him behind bars, but his family helped him get away for a second time. La Joya police pulled over a truck after a short chase and one of those suspects was Garcia's brother-in-law and informed police where they could find him.

Police went to the home where Garcia was reported staying at and as police attempted to arrest Garcia, his sister Monica Rosales and his mother prevented police to arresting him. Garcia did get away and police arrested his sister for interfering with police and the mother was taken by Border Patrol after investigators discovered she was living in the country illegally.

If you have any information on the whereabouts of Garcia please call La Joya police at 956.585.4855.
