Woman charged with hiring hitman to kill her baby's father via Facebook.

“I will pay somebody a stack to kill my baby father.”

It’s not your everyday Facebook status update, but police say that’s the message that one angry woman posted on her profile on May 23 after getting into an argument with the father of her child.

On June 10 police arrested 20-year-old London Eley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after she allegedly tried to hire someone to kill her baby’s father for $1,000.

"I never thought she would do anything like that," said the father of London's child. "I didn't know she was that type of person."

Even more shocking was the alleged first response.

Investigators say 18-year-old Tim Bynum replied to Eley’s message by writing on her profile "say no more, what he look like?"

Investigators say that the victim's aunt saw the messages and contacted her nephew.

The two then went straight to the police.

"He has guns in his pictures and all that on Facebook," said the alleged victim. "Of course you wouldn't take anything like that lightly."

Bynum's mother, Madeline Wimberly, insists however that her son has never been in trouble with the law and that the entire ordeal was a huge misunderstanding.

"He would never do anything like that and it was just blown out of proportion," said Wimberly.

Police still took action.

"We did a search warrant at his home on Friday," said Lieutenant John Walker. "We recovered from inside the house a 9mm fully-loaded handgun."

Eley was charged with conspiracy to commit murder and is currently being held on $250,000 bail.

Bynum was arrested on June 12 and charged with attempted murder and a weapons charge.

He is currently being held on $350,000 bail.
