FAA Investigation Completed in Border Patrol Helicopter Crash

HIDALGO COUNTY - The FAA investigation continues after a Customs and Border Protection helicopter crashed south of Alamo on Tuesday.

An NTSB spokesperson say their on scene examination of the helicopter with the FAA has been completed and the next step is to transfer the aircraft to a local facility. The pilot and an on-board observer were taken to a hospital of observation and no serious injuries were reported. The spokesperson for the NTSB says that both the pilot and the on-board observer were interviewed and the on the scene report is expected to be released by next week.
