Hundreds of pounds of explosives stolen from Montana National Forest Service facility.

(KULR) Federal authorities are investigating the theft of nearly 560 pounds of explosives.

The explosives were being kept in a National Forest Service storage bunker near Red Lodge, Montana, just outside of Yellowstone National Park.

The forest service uses the explosives for clearing trails and roads, and also for disposing of dead animal carcasses.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms is offering a $5,000 reward for the recovery of the explosives and an arrest in the case.
