Ernesto Ivan Martinez Pleads No Contest in Barry Horn's Murder
The man accused of murdering former Museum Director Barry Horn will spend the rest of his life in prison.
Ernesto Ivan Martinez pleaded no contest less than an hour before jury selection was scheduled to begin on Monday. Martinez was found guilty by State District Judge Elia Cornejo-Lopez of stabbing Mr. Horn more than 50 times in October of 2009. Martinez was sentenced to life in prison, but will be eligible for parole after he serves 30 years in prison.
