EPA to Test Donna Reservoir Water for Contaminates
DONNA — Environmental testing will soon be underway for the Donna Reservoir and canal for any contaminates in the water and fish.
The EPA has tested the reservoir in the past and found that the fish were contaminated and would cause serious health problems for human and animal consumption. Rafael Casanova with the EPA stated, "We are going to be sampling for over four hundred chemicals including PCB that we know is in the fish tissue." The EP will be testing eight miles of water and scheduled in about month from now.
