SpaceX is in the process of determining where their next launch pad will be as the City of Brownsville, Florida and Puerto Rico are competing for the company to be the home of the launch pad. Gilbert Salinas from the Brownsville Economic Development Corporation stated that the second phase of the environmental impact study is underway and the findings will be presented at a meeting in March or April. A final decision on where the new launch pad will be located should be decided by mid-summer.
