A Valley law enforcement agency is helping kids stay busy and out of trouble this summer.

The McAllen police department and McAllen Parks and Recreation are providing summer activities for children in the community at Los Encinos Police Network Center on Olga Avenue free of charge. The kids learn safety, participate in activities like art and crafts and they break a sweat playing outside.

Breakfast and lunch was served for over 60 children who registered for the program this summer which ends on August 14th with a day filled with games, food and swimming.
