Karl Malden Passes Away

Karl Malden died on Wednesday at his home in Brentwood, California with his daughter at his side.

Malden played a wide variety of character roles winning an Oscar for his 1951 portrayal of the lovelorn Mitch in "A Street Car Named Desire." His list of movie roles is too long to list, but includes "Patton", "Beyond the Poseidon Adventure", and "On the Waterfront", which earned him another Oscar nomination.

In the 70's he shifted his talents to television taking over the hit series "The Streets of San Francisco" and credibility to scores of commercials for American Express. Karl Malden was 97 years-old.
