Poetry comes alive when the Poet Mariachi also known as Daniel Garcia Ordaz tells stories of urban culture with the Sociology of Deep South Texas.

The Master Word Smith and Poet Extraordinaire will be sharing his poetry at the South Texas College Library on the Starr County, Mid Valley and Pecan campuses. All performers and poets who want to share their talents are invited to an open mike session before the Poet Mariachi hits the stage.

The schedule is Tuesday, July 15th at the Starr Co. Library; Wednesday , July 16 at the Mid Valley Library and Thursday, July 17th at the Pecan Library 2nd floor Rainbow room. All events begin at 7 pm and call 956.872.6486 for more information.
