El Nino Pattern Causing Milder Hurricane Season

It might not be the hurricane season we expected, but it might just be the one we hoped for because forecasters had originally predicted several big name hurricanes this summer and fall. That was before an El Nino pattern developed in the Pacific and causing a milder season as Steve Drillette, from the National Weather Service in Brownsville, stated, "In that aspect there is more wind shear across the Gulf and Atlantic that it is a detriment to hurricane formation."
