An Edinburg man is dead after police say he drove into on-coming traffic this morning.

His yellow Ford caused a three-car accident killing him and injuring another driver.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Trenton and Sugar Roads.

Police say he clipped the side of one car before going head on with another.

The driver has been identified as 68 year old Jackie Randall Jobe.

"There's so many possibilities as to what could have occurred, we are having inclement weather, the roads are wet, the surfaces are slippery, and there's also the possibility that there may have been some type of medical condition that had occurred," Lt. Oscar Treviño of the Edinburg Police Dept. said. "Right now, everything is speculation."

It has not been determined if any drugs or alcohol was a factor.
