Off-duty deputy shoots and kills man
Bexar County, TX — Texas police say an off-duty shot and killed a driver, apparently after the two argued following a possible car accident, James Munoz has more.
This fatal shooting happened just after 5 a.m. along 1604 between Nacogdoches and Randolph Brooks Parkway, near Lookout Road.
Authorities say the off-duty was involved in an incident with another driver.
He and a man in the other vehicle pulled over , there was an argument and confrontation.
At some point, it appears the deputy felt threatened and he fired multiple shots at the driver, that man died on the scene.
Paul Berry, Bexar County Sheriff's Office, "It appears that they both stopped by the side of the road... and an altercation ensued."
Authorities say the deputy was in his personal vehicle and had just left a security job, so he was off-duty at the time.
Authorities are investigating to determine weather road rage was an issued and whether the vehicles ever collided , as early reports indicated this deadly altercations started with a minor crash.
The deputy will be put on administrative leave while authorities investigate.
