Drugs Found on SPI

On South Padre Island Constables find thousands of dollars in cash and narcotics inside the vehicle of a San Benito Man. Constables say the drugs were packaged and ready to sell.

Sunday night deputies arrested Jorge Luis Salazar. They say he was trying to sell drugs including to ecstasy on the north end of South Padre Island.

Cameron County Constables say they found 200 pills of ecstasy, marijuana, and nine packets of cocaine, in addition to $10,000 inside of Salazar's SUV.

Salazar is charged with 2 counts of possesion of a controlled substance, 2 counts of manufacturing to deliver a controlled substance, tampering with evidence, and one count of evading arrest.
