Drug Trafficker Sentenced to Prison
BROWNSVILLE — One of the biggest drug traffickers in the Valley has been sentenced to prison to nineteen years in prison.
The judge sentenced Eric Alexander after he was found guilty of distributing hundreds of pounds of marijuana and cocaine. United States Attorney Stephanie A. Finley stated, "You know Mr. Alexander faced a very tough sentence, that's what drug dealers face when they participate in this activity, but it is a win for the community. We've gotten a major drug dealer off the street and it makes our community safer. Our goal is to let them know and let the public know, that we are here, we're not going away and we're going to fight the good fight in this because we think this community is worth it."
Sixteen other people have been convicted for their involvement in this case and the U.S. Attorney's Office says it'll make three more arrests.
