
The man who stopped to quench his thirst two days ago while running from La Joya police was given a $1 million dollars bond.
He has been identified as 22 year-old Jorge Armando Garza who resides in La Joya. Police arrested him on Monday afternoon after he jumped out of a van he was driving that had over 700 pounds of marijuana inside. Garza jumped out of the moving van and ran off, stopping at a convenience store for a drink, where police arrested him. He's charged with possession of marijuana and evading arrest.
