A drug smuggler crashed the car he was using to transport bundles of marijuana into an orange grove and then taken to the hospital for his injuries.

It happened around 3 PM on Tuesday just south of Military highway in McAllen when Border Patrol agents received a tip that a vehicle was driving up from the Rio Grande river with drugs. Agents reported seeing a cloud of dust and investigated the area and found the vehicle had slammed into an orange tree.
