MEXICO CITY- The United States is flying over Mexico to help stop drug cartels, in the wake of the murder of Brownsville ICE Agent Jaime Zapata.

According to the New York Times, the unarmed drones which were launched to patrol the US border about 6-months ago are now flying deep into Mexico to gather intelligence. It reported that the drones have helped find several suspects in Agent Zapata's killing.

President Obama and Mexican President Felipe Calderon reportedly agreed to continue the flights when they met earlier this month.
