CAMERON COUNTY - Peter Oxford was arrested over the weekend after fleeing the scene of an accident near south expressway 77.

According to reports, Oxford fled the scene after rear ending another vehicle with his white Oldsmobile. Officers say when they tracked down Oxford he seemed intoxicated and was in possession of marijuana. The driver of the other vehicle, a 27 year-old woman, was injured in the accident and taken to the hospital for treatment. Oxford was charged with intoxication assault which is a third degree felony.
