A Brownsville man is behind bars after police say he evaded arrest with a motor vehicle.

Police say they noticed a suspicious vehicle off of Ruben Torres and Paredes Line road and decided to investigate the vehicle when all of a sudden the driver sped off. Officers patrolled the area and located the vehicle parked outside a home and found the driver, Andres Arizmendi, who was arrested. He was charged with evading arrest with a motor vehicle, assault and unlawful restraint.
