Driver attempts to eat evidence after being pulled over for speeding

A Harlingen driver was arrested for possession of marijuana after being caught speeding.

On Sunday, September 15th a Harlingen police officer conducted a traffic stop on a 2006 silver Pontiac Grand Prix after the driver was caught speeding at 53 mph in a 35 mph zone.

As the officer approached the driver, identified as Alberto Sanchez Jr., 21, the officer witnessed Sanchez eating a green leafy substance which was later determined to be marijuana.

During the search of the vehicle the officer found a marijuana cigarette in the driver's door panel and it was discovered that Sanchez also had seven warrants totaling $3,614.
